Midori, thanks so much for your comments and suggestions. There is a lot of wisdom in those words!

Question for you.. do you handle webcasting at all with your company? If so would love to chat with you about a potential opportunity.

Thanks,

Mike McCurry

Hi Michael!
Just a quick FYI...the LinkedIn link (haha) isn't quite operable.

Anyways, bravo to you for incorporating Twitter into your upcoming event.
One of the most appealing characteristics of Twitter is the relatively steep learning curve. It's remarkable how after just a short 8 months on Twitter, I was invited to speak to the Society for Professional Marketing Services on microblogging. My rules are:
1. Learn the etiquette and lingo. Be sensitive to the culture.
2. Show up. Be sure to Tweet on a regular basis. Most experts will tell you it's better to be present 5 minutes every day than two hours on a Saturday...
3. Find the applications that will facilitate this "being present"
4. Regurgitate. Be a momma bird and Retweet that information that is valuable to share. It's networking in it's simplest, finest form.

Anyways, kudos. Hope your upcoming conference is outstanding!! We're using our AV technologies in ways never seen to feature Twitter and social media conversation...which has led to an unexpected expertise on Hybrid Meeting design. Pretty exciting times!!
